Ellen Burns-Johnson, Vice President of Learning Strategy, ELB Learning

Ellen is an award-winning learning experience designer and strategist with over a decade of experience in L&D. She’s also a game designer, podcaster, Agile practitioner and innovation evangelist. She believes in “people and interactions over processes and tools,” and in harnessing the power of play for learning.

As lead learning strategist at ELB Learning, Ellen guides how team members across the company think about learning, organizational psychology and technology. She and her team of learning strategists often work directly with customers in the early stages of partnerships and projects. She has a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education and a post-secondary certification in educational technology. She shares her life with her husband, two dogs and forty houseplants.
